The Idea

Nothing worse than running out of time just when things got interesting...

Most convention games run on a four hour slot, with some of the time at the beginning to get the players into the spirit of the game, and then less time at the end as the game wraps up and everyone tries to get to their next game in time.

And for some, that's enough...

Not here...

I believe that the best games are the ones where the GM doesn't have one eye on the time and the players are all rushing to get through and make sure they don't miss all the other things they were looking to do.  I believe that the best games are prepared in advance, so everyone knows who they are and what they're doing when they get to the table.

I believe that the best games are the ones that are played till someone outside the game reminds everyone what time it is, and this is what I hope to create with Longcon.

All the games on offer have a limited number of spaces, with characters, plot development, and the structure of the game being decided and prepared long in advance of the games day.  Some of the games will be one day events, some will run the whole weekend, there are no set break times, and (opening hours permitting) there is no restriction on what time games go on till...
